WHAT IS TAROT?
Tarot is a system of divination using cards from a set system. This system has the deck broken down into a few different categories-- Major Arcana, Minor Arcana, and Court Cards. Each section represents different things in our lives so we can interpret the cards to help us understand what we need to know about in our lives. To some the cards are a way to connect to spirit or the divine. To others the cards are a way to get advice about a subject.
The Major Arcana is the first part of the deck. You can think of it as a journey that you and your cards will be going on. It starts with the Fool card or goes to the World or Universe card. Along the way, there are many ups and downs. These cards represent concepts and big ideas. These are big influences on our lives.
The Minor Arcana are broken into four different suits and numbered Ace-10. These cards represent more specific ideas, such as problems or benefits we may encounter. Each suit is tailored to specific parts of your life. Each suit has 10 cards representing them, so there are many different meanings and interpretations within each suit. This is because there is a diverse range of things you will encounter in your journey.
The Court Cards are each connected with the suits, but they delve in a little farther. These can represent people or characteristics of people. They do not have to correspond to the gender of the person, as these cards and their meanings were created with traditional gender roles in mind not modern. Court Cards can be difficult to read at first because it can be hard to tell if the card refers to you, someone else, or is just referring to the characteristics.

What are Lenormand Cards?
Lenormand cards are a deck of 36 cards with simple images (Rider, Clover, Bear, etc) with fairly concrete meanings (as opposed to tarot cards, which can have many meanings). Some have pictures of regular playing cards on them. People who use these cards say that they give very clear readings and are better at everyday life and predictive readings.
What are Oracle Cards?
Oracle cards are a set of cards used for divination. They are not divided up into suites like tarot–in fact, most angel or oracle decks don’t have any divisions at all. Each card has a picture and a name, and nothing else.
